About The Story
Animal Farm is a satirical allegory by George Orwell. The book was published in England on August 17, 1945. The following year the book was published in the US. Animal Farm reflects events leading up to and during the Stalin era before World War II. The novel addresses not only the corruption of the revolution by its leaders but also how wickedness, indifference, ignorance, and greed destroy any possibility of a Utopia.
